Linda Johnson was born in Dundee, Scotland, and now lives and works in rural Angus. Self taught, Linda worked for many years as a successful commercial artist before focusing on her passion for equestrian studies. What began as a small collection of commissions for friends and acquaintances, soon gained momentum.

Linda's passion for equine and animal art is evident in her paintings. At home she has two horses, four dogs and two cats which provide endless sources of inspiration. Also a keen photographer, Linda uses this interest to study her own horses at home; thus enabling her to capture movement and form.

In recent years Linda's portraiture has become increasingly popular, with a mixture of traditional studies and more modern interpretative work being commissioned. She is equally happy to paint from sittings, or work directly from photographs, and her approach is one that encourages client involvement throughout.

Linda exhibits locally in various galleries, and has pieces in private collections at home and abroad.
